Lossy compression of quality scores in differential gene expression A first assessment and impact analysis authored by Ana A. Hernandez Lopez, Jan Voges, Claudio Alberti, Marco Mattavelli, Jörn Ostermann Abstract High throughput sequencing of RNA molecules has enabled the quantitative analysis of gene expression at the expense of storage space and processing power. To alleviate these problems, lossy compression methods of the quality ...
Calibrating mini mental state examination scores to predict misdiagnosed dementia patients authored by Akhilesh Vyas, Fotis Aisopos, Maria Esther Vidal, Peter Garrard, George Paliouras Abstract Mini Mental State Examination MMSE is used as a diagnostic test for dementia to screen a patient s cognitive assessment and disease severity.

This study aims to propose two different ways for such a method and to test both ways in a use case. We first developed two scores, namely the Repertory Grid RG Score and the FixMyBerlin FMB Score, which predict subjective safety from objective environmental information but use different data bases and different methodologies.

Rank transformation in haseman elston regression using scores for location scale alternatives verfasst von Daniel Gerhard, Ludwig A. Hothorn Abstract The Haseman Elston method is a simple regression approach for detecting genetic linkage to quantitative traits in sib pair studies.

The present study assesses midpalatal sutural morphology based on human cone beam computed tomography CBCT using geometric morphometrics GMM and complexity scores. The study is the first to apply a sutural complexity score to human CBCT datasets and demonstrates the potential such a score has to improve objectiveness and comparability when analysing the midpalatal suture.
Are expert based ecosystem services scores related to biophysical quantitative estimates? authored by P.K. Roche, C.S. Campagne Abstract Among the different approaches developed to assess ecosystem services ES , the capacity matrix is flexible and quick to implement.
